Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy!
What does this mean? How can I relate to this? Why is it so hard to be a "true christian"? These are some of the questions i use to ask myself when i was coming up in the church. I didn't really understand what the pastor was talking about so i would tune him out and go into my own little world. Bad? Yeah i know, but no one is perfect and that's why i wanted to start this blog because i feel like people are still in that mind set i was in when i was a little girl. Sure, i mean yeah i have done things in my life that wasn't pleasing to God but if i didn't do the things i did i wouldn't know him the way i do today and i wouldn't be able to finally know the answer to these questions. I have so much to say about this so I am going to split this up into three discussions.
What does this mean? This goes out to a lot of people that try to do exactly that, our generation especially, because we do so much and think that if we don't tell anybody and try to hide it from God then it's almost as if it never happened. And that's not how it should be, we are the generation and we have to lead by example for the next generation. It is really easy to follow a fad to try and fit in with the "in crowd" and you never feel like you really belong and its because YOU DON'T!!! Find yourself in the Lord and you'll find your place on Earth. Who said that you have to dress a certain way to get a guy's attention. Or you have to drink this or smoke this or whatever the "cool" thing is at that time to be considered as a "cool person." SOCIETY DID! Me personally, never followed a trend i thought wasn't for me. I've always been an "underdog" my cousin likes to call it, but i like that term because it's exactly what i am. I'm cool because I say I am! I march to the beat of my own drum so to speak, and that makes me stand out in a crowd. Unique. Individual. Sure I've done things and thought, well if nobody knows about it then I'm good. you can't hide your flaws from the one person that wants your heart. He already knows what you're thinking before u think it. so why would we want to let down the person that Loves us more than our own parents!! That's a lot of love from someone we've never even seen. Sometimes i sit and think about why we do the things we do, and the only logical answer i can get is because we're human. We are flesh and blood and the flesh can be a VERY powerful thing if we let it. And we're not always gonna do everything right, but if we strive to walk that path with Christ and know that we are important, we are someone special without the worldly influence down our backs. Then i think we'll have a better insight on what is actually more important than being cool so we wouldn't have to hide our "bad" ways. Stay posted for part 2 guys! I love u, but He loves u more and that's what matters! be blessed.
